Setting Up a store to sell Pumps

Here I am trying to sell pumps and pumps parts on the net. I will not disclose my store as of yet until I finish with all the details but this is basically what I have done so far to start me Website with Shopping Cart.

I went to godaddy.com to reserve my store name, or better my website name. I chose a .com name as I think that they are viewed more professional than a .info or any other website extension. Then, I went to host.com, and found a hosting package that fitted my budget. I actually found the $4.95/month hosting. I know that there are cheaper hosting packages, but did not want it to push it, and deal with the hassle to choose among the thousands, and it ends up being a company out of a garage somewhere. Then I went to the following page for a comparison on all existing shopping carts, chose the Oscommerce platform since it deals with resellers which are a big part of my business. once I follow all the direction, and took a look at it. I did not like the way it looked. So, I searched and bought a professional and cheap Os commerce Template. After I was happy with the way the store looked and felt, I want for the functions. If you go to the original website for Oscommerce, you can download a number of add-ons that applied to your store. Here is the List:

Once I finish with all the information upload, setup, and I am content with the way it looks and feels. I will publish my Oscommerce Store for you guys review.

What is a Pump?

A pump is a mechanical device that transfer material from point A to point B. There are many type of pump in the market today with most falling into positive displacement, hydraulic and centrifugal group. The centrifugal pump is the most common and is normally used to transfer fluids with water like characteristics. The positive displacement group pumps fluid with great concentration of solids. Each group has its divisions which are more suitable for different applications.

Believe it or not? Our lives depend on pumps for our day to day most needed tasks. The water that we drink, the gas for our cars, and the food that we eat is processed with pumps. Without pumps, the automatitation process will be impossible and live as we know it.

There will be more to come on pumps. This is just my first post, and I thought it will be good to give a brief definition and a little inside on these very needed devices.
